Surgeonfish Figurine

With its vibrant colors and elegant shapes, the surgeonfish illuminates tropical coral reefs. It is easily recognizable by its flattened silhouette and graceful swimming among the corals.

Astonishing fact: its name comes from the sharp spine at the base of its tail, similar to a scalpel blade, which it uses to defend itself in case of danger. Herbivorous, it feeds mainly on algae, thus contributing to the balance and health of coral reefs. Highly appreciated by divers and aquarists, it is also known for its role in the collective imagination thanks to its popularity in animated films.

This Papo figurine faithfully reproduces the surgeonfish: vibrant colors, delicate fins, and a realistic silhouette. An ideal model to enrich a collection of marine animals, invent tropical stories, or raise children's awareness of the fragile beauty of coral reefs.
