Whale Shark Figurine

With an average length of 12 meters, the whale shark is the largest fish in the world. Despite its impressive size, this ocean giant is completely harmless to humans.

Surprisingly, the whale shark feeds on plankton, small fish, and crustaceans, which it filters by swimming with its mouth wide open. It can swallow over 6,000 liters of water per hour to capture its tiny prey. A tireless migrant, it travels thousands of kilometers each year in search of the richest feeding grounds. Its peaceful and majestic demeanor makes it one of the most fascinating species for divers to observe.

This Papo figurine faithfully reproduces the whale shark: massive silhouette, characteristic body patterns, and realistic details. An ideal model to enrich a collection of marine animals, invent grand stories, or educate children about the protection of this peaceful giant threatened by overfishing.
