Grasshopper Figurine

With its long hind legs and impressive leaps, the grasshopper is a familiar insect in gardens and meadows. It is recognizable by its elongated body, slender antennae, and green color, which allows it to camouflage itself in vegetation.

As an herbivore, it feeds mainly on leaves, grasses, and flowers. Interestingly, the grasshopper is also known for its "song," produced by rubbing its wings or hind legs, a sound used to attract its fellows and mark its territory. Thanks to its ability to leap up to 20 times its body length, it easily escapes predators and moves quickly from one plant to another.

This Papo figurine faithfully reproduces the grasshopper: powerful legs, slender antennae, and realistic details. An ideal model to enrich a collection of garden animals, invent stories in the heart of nature, or educate children about the diversity and astonishing behaviors of insects.
