Instructions for use

During the first use, the lava takes between 3 and 5 hours to heat up before you can see the wax circulate. For subsequent uses, the heating time is shorter.

The time it takes for the lava to start circulating depends on the ambient temperature. Optimal use is in a room between 22 and 25 ºC.

Do not touch any part of the lava lamp when it is on or has just been turned off. The lamp reaches very high temperatures to function.

Is it normal for it to take so long to heat up?

Yes, all lava lamps take quite a long time to heat up the first time, as the wax they contain has never been subjected to heat before and needs time to reach the correct temperature. For subsequent uses, the heating time is shorter, provided the ambient temperature is adequate.

The liquid in my lamp is cloudy, what should I do?

Cloudy liquid is due to a component that the wax releases when heated. Generally, if the lamp stays on, this component dissipates. If not, return the lamp or contact us and we will provide you with a new bottle.

Can I use it for reading?

The lava lamp has a purely decorative purpose; the light is ambient to enhance a room. It is not recommended for use as a primary light source for reading or other tasks requiring more intense lighting.

Where can I find the bulbs?

If a bulb burns out, the lamp box contains a spare one to resolve this situation. If both bulbs burn out, contact us and we will provide you with a new one.
