The famous Cretan costume is still worn in certain crest villages as everyday clothes for men. "Stivania", the white boots that complete the costume. The traditional costume was richly embroidered with dark or black blue colors and always included a silver knife and a scarf. One of the favorite accessories for Cretan folk clothing is the knife that adds really authentic characteristics.
